Hey Steven Universe fandom, can you please stop shitting on people for liking Jasper??

Like fuck, man. You’re looking at this all wrong. Most of us don’t like her because we condone her actions or think she’s a good person. BUT she is a good character.

Look through a mental list of feminine villains. A large portion of them as small, sexy, and they are emotionally/socially manipulative. Those are their weapons. That is how they are villains.

And now we get this villain who is curvy, who has long hair, who uses “she” pronouns. She’s big and buff and violent in a way that is usually reserved for male villains. And that’s awesome??

Like seriously try to make a list of feminine characters who are physically violent/bullies/villains that aren’t fatphobic or racist. There are very few.

I’m not saying that physical violence is a good thing at all but I mean check this out: a kids cartoon where the big violent bad guy is feminine? Erasing the idea that the only way girls can be bullies/hurt people is by being catty and gossipy and mean?? That’s great.

So seriously, chill. You guys freak out about diversity of characters but then hate on diverse characters? Every show like this needs bad guys. Jasper is a bad guy. That’s her entire role. Chill.
